NYSSA Membership grab?? Action Item...

All our hard work has paid-off; on Tuesday, August 30th, the Governor signed the Snowmobile Rights & Responsibilities Act (S3158B Meier/A6815A Morelle) into law, but at NYSSA there is a move afoot to obtain these club memberships via the Internet through the NYSSA website.

ECFSC to Trail Fund Coordinators

Equipment that should be added to the list of rental rates was requested from Coordinators a couple of weeks ago. The response thus far is for these items:

Club Picnic: Noon-?   Sardinia Town Park, Genesee Rd, 2006-07-23 12:00:00 - 2006-07-23 12:20:00

The club picnic will be held on July 23, 2006 in the Sardinia Town Park Noon-?. Please remember to bring a dish to pass, and inexpensive wrapped prize for your child to win (with their name on it, the dollar stores are great for this...) and you own eating utensils. Steaks, hot dogs and pop will be provided by the club. We MUST rhave a phone reply to Marge (496-6076) A.S.A.P. We will be eating at 1pm. We're planning games for all ages and loads of fun for all. Please bring the entire family. The park has swimming, baseball diamonds and swing sets... any sports equipment would be appreciated. Let's make this the best picnic yet!!!

The club has purchased a Ranger utility ATV, and is working on another Thiokol groomer.

The February club meeting will be held at 7:30 pm at the Milestone in Chaffee. The meeting is one week early and will be concerned with getting ready for our BBQ/Dice Run fundraiser-- please come and sign up for a committee!

Family/Kids Ride & Bowling   Milestones / Holland Willows, 2008-02-24 12:00:00 - 2008-02-24 18:30:00

There will be a Family/Kids ride and bowling gathering with pop and pizza. Conditions permitting, the ride will start from the Milestone at noon and proceed on a nice ride to the Holland Willows. If trail conditions are poor we'll meet at the Holland Willows by car at 1:30. Bring the kids and have a great time!

The 2008 Chicken BBQ was a success, selling out briskly despite a rainy day and the cancellation of the the dice run.

You already are painfully aware that the Budget Director has swept $1,000,000.00 from the Snowmobile Trail fund. Through our lobbyists in Albany, we were able to find out what had happened.

The SnoSurfers snowmobile club will have a club ride on Saturday January 24 starting at 5:20 at the Milestone, Rt. 16 in Chaffee. The ride will start with a complimentary pop at the Milestone for club members, and will head to Smokey's in Java for dinner. It will then take a different route back to Chaffee and end at the Hearth. Come for a great time!

The SnoSurfers will be holding a Family Ride and Bowl event on Sunday, February 22. If there is snow we will ride from the Milestone at 12:00 Noon. Regardless of snow the bowling starts at 1 PM at the Holland Willows- feel free to drive either way. Bowling, food and pop will be provided by the club. Bring the family and have a great time!
